These binoculars appear very similar to Nikon's ProStaff 10x25 compact binoculars, with a few added "green" bells and whistles. I like their compact size, incredible optics, and light weight. Many expert birders advise against buying anything stronger than 7x or 8x, but the Nikon optics are so good they provide excellent, clear magnification, even in dim light. The environment-friendly features are an added plus. I love the way they look and feel. The non-slip casing makes for a secure grip. My only complaint is that there is no manual. The "instructions" are a list of warnings and precautions--nothing about how to attach the neck strap to the binoculars and lens cover or about how to focus them properly. I bought these binoculars from 17th St. Photo through eBay for $11 less than direct from their website or through Amazon.com.
