I bought one of these about six months ago and mounted it on my 12 gauge shotgun, and am about to buy a second one to put on a .22. It has stood up to recoil well, even that of magnum buckshot. It was quick and easy to zero and the point of impact has not shifted. The dot, even on its lowest(and thus longest-battery life)setting is easy to see in bright daylight. The on/off/brightness dial is easy to operate, unlike the other IR scope I own. The one issue with the scope it that the tube is a little too small for super-fast target acquisiton, but if you have it mounted at the right height (which depends on the drop of your stock and the height of your rings) this isn't a problem. In short, this is a reliable and effective little red dot, and you won't find a better one for the price (or even double the price, I would imagine).

unusable, better off with iron sights
i got this scope to replace my 15 tear old tasco red dot on a .22 caliber hand gun, thinking it should have new technology and improvements
not so, switch does not function properly and has to be moved back and forth to make a good contact and to remain on
power setting markings on the dial are not aligned correctly and off setting is somewhere at the number four mark???? - could not adjust it
red dot is not a "dot" but a blurry star like apparition that is spread out in all directions on the internal prism, making aiming impossible even at lower power settings
anyhow, i do not know if these scopes are all this bad or just the one i had, but i will not buy another bushnell product
returned for refund
