I bought the last summer and ever since they go where I go. I prefer them to my older Leica compacts because they seem a lot sharper and brighter - and waterproof. And they are light enough to have around your neck all the time. I am a binoculars aficionado - and these are my everyday favorites.

Received them quickly from dealer. They seem to be well made and work well. Size was the most important considration in purchasing them. We found the adjustment controls to be thoughtfully designed and well placed. We have not given them a thorough work out yet, so do not know if they will be durable.

I've owned the Zeiss 8 x 20 B T* Victory Compact binocular for more than two years. This binocular is the brightest in its class that I've handled, and also the easiest to handle. I showed mine to an acquaintance who owned a Leica Trinovid 8 x 20 binocular and he decided to replace his Leica with the Zeiss Victory Compact. My Zeiss Victory Compact binocular has performed admirably under every condition I can imagine, ranging from extremely low light under nocturnal conditions to coping with salt and spray when I've used it to view distant landmarks while sailing across New York City's harbor on the Staten Island Ferry. It has also excelled for bird watching and, of course, for viewing concerts at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium. Although there are newer models available, the Zeiss 8 x 20 Victory Compact still holds its own against the competition.
