This scope is fine for limited use. The tripod is ridiculous and provides little stability. I bought a good tripod from Walmart for less than $30. You would think Leupold would refuse to send junk (like the flimsy tripod) with their gold ring scopes. For the price - come on. I will keep the scope because it has a lifetime guarantee but the magnification is minimal. I would choose a model up to 45 or 60 X magnification if I were to order again. Nice scope in that it seems rugged and the case is good.
