Made in Malaysia! wow what happened to USA? My only gripe is when they are fully opened they stick up like those butler creek things. I think the description I read said that after opening they lay almost flat across the top of the scope. Also the Malaysia thing really threw me. Oh well, they fit great and are made very well.

I bought these for Christmas to go with a VX-2 4x12 50mm that Santa brought my son. I have a set on my VX-L as well. These covers aren't cheap, but they are solidly constructed, and I consider them to be a must for any Leupold scope. They open smoothly and quietly, and close firmly to protect the lens element. Kudos to Leupold for producing these.

From the time I saw these lens caps, I had to have them. I love my low profile scope and wanted Leupold lens covers to finish the look. They are very hard to find in a store or online. Many online stores have them but the sales people have no idea they do. The "L" in the part number is the only thing that gives it away, meaning "Low profile". I had to call Leupold to get a part number before I could identify who stocked them. It was so worth the trouble though. They fit perfectly and work smoothly and quietly.

I bought these covers for my VX-L 4.5-14 50mm last year. They are very well constructed and work great. There are a couple of rubber/plastic aftermarket alternatives available for a lot less money, but they are for standard scopes, and will not fit the VX-L due to the irregularly shaped objective lens. I have also purchased a set of Alumina covers for my son's VX-II scope and would recommend them to anyone with a Leupold scope.

The lens cover is a good product and it's very easy to install without having to remove the scope from the mounts. The opening and closing action is very smooth and there no noise when opening the covers.



Although the covers are a little pricey they are definitely worth the extra money.
