There is a push-button to turn on a small reading light. Unfortunately, the first time these opera glasses were used, the switch fell apart and a coil spring fell out. We could not find the coil spring and when we reassembled the switch without the spring, the light would stay on all the time. Consequently, we had to remove the battery, which meant that the light could no longer be used.

Definitely not worth the price. The viewing range is pitiful - you might as well get a cheap 8x20 binoculars and use that as opera glasses.

I bought these opera glasses to use at the theatre. They are pretty, fit well inside my purse, and help to get a little more up close and personal with the stage. They magnify 3x; I wish it was just a couple degrees more, but for the price, they are great!

Since these were a gift, I've no idea of the quality of viewing. I would have heard if there were defects, so I can only assume they worked as good as they looked.

What a great addition to my theater experience. The glasses are so light and so easy to use. They arrived in a timely fashion and have certainly enriched my theater experience.

A great purchase! They even came with a soft carrying pouch which slipped easily into my purse.

They arrived so quickly...just wish I had thought to purchase them sooner. So glad I have them now for any future shows that I will be attending.

I purchased these to use when I go see Broadway shows. The quality of the product was, at best, disappointing. The Adorama opera glasses were flimsy and felt like they could fall apart at any moment. Also, the item that was sent to me was not the color that I ordered (which was much less important than the obvious poor quality of the product). I returned this item to the seller and was refunded.

I purchased these glasses on Feb. 20 with standard shipping, they arrived Feb. 26. They came as pictured and I am very happy with my purchase. I took them to Phantom of the Opera--we had balcony seats--and they worked great! Granted, they don't have all the features of the Bushnell binoculars my husband had, but they worked very well and we had a wonderful evening.



A few things I wish they would have mentioned in the product description: first, one can adjust the focus by rotating the little knob in the middle; second, there are little rings on the sides so that you can attach a chain. I added a chain to mine, and it was nice because I didn't have to worry about my glasses accidentally falling off my lap and getting broken.



If you want a stylish pair of opera glasses at a reasonable price, these are for you. I highly recommend them.
