Traditionally, an 8x20 binocular is perfectly suited for theater and stadium use. Extraordinarily compact, it provides ample magnification with a reduced field of view so you can Focus on Character and action details. Of course, it's really lightweight and easy to carry around. The Nikon Premier LX offers superior optics and all-weather protection so you can use it as a very compact birding and field scope. It's especially useful when travelling because it doesn't occupy lots of luggage space - great for travelling light. It includes a leather case and Lens protectors. Superior optics, sharp focus, and long-eye relief (for eyeglass wearers) contribute to help make the Premier LX a top performer for theater and sports viewing that's more than effective in other applications too.

"Great optical quality, but weak mechanically" 2009-10-18
By The Kodachromeguy (Vicksburg, MS USA)
These little Nikon Premier 8x20 LX glasses are great optically, sharp from corner to corner and easy to focus. But mine have proven to be delicate and the hinges have loosened and become floppy twice in two years. Nikon USA fixed them under warranty, but I am not impressed with the lack of robustness. Not recommended.

 "Top notch compacts" 2008-08-12
By V. Kurpan (Oregon)
I gave my Ziess classic compacts to my wife because I wanted some compacts with better eye relief for glasses. I went to a place that had them all on display.... Leica, Swarovski, Zeiss, etc. These Nikons were the hands down winner. They are a bit bigger and heavier than the Zeiss and Leica but if you wear glasses there is no other choice. I've had these about 1.5 years now and still love 'em. I have full sized Swarovski's and Nikon SE's, etc. but these get used 5x as much as those. These truly deserve 5 stars.

 "Love 'em ... a lot!" 2007-03-08
By M. Graf (Wimberley, TX, USA)
I have this pair of binoculars and a Nikon 82 ED Fieldscope for observing Texas wildlife. Lately, I find myself using these binoculars almost exclusively.

They are bright, sharp and quick. The higher eye-relief accommodates my eyeglasses well giving a large view. I've used them w/o the eyeglasses and noticed no difference in the view. Being waterproof means I can take them on the river without worry.

The placement of the focus adjustment took a bit of getting used to, but seems natural now.

"Amazing binoculars, Sharp, Small package, Top quality!!!" 2009-07-25
By N. Goranov (Ft. Myers, FL USA)
I purchased the Zeiss Victory 10x25 and the Nikon Premier LX-L 10x25 so I can tell which one I liked more. I kept the Nikon. Reasons: Made in Japan vs. Made in Hungary. The Nikon comes in real high quality leather case. Zeiss comes in a vinyl. The Nikon has more solid feel, smoother focus. Both feel good and easy to work with. Brightness is very similar. Both boost air tight optics and hi-tech lens coatings. The Zeiss is a little lighter, but - the Nikon is SHARPER. Took them both on a trip to the Grand Canyon so I could explore the binoculars' qualities in probably the best place on Earth to do it. IMHO the Nikon beats the Zeiss. Nikon is cheaper too. So it was no brainer.

 "Small and sturdy" 2008-05-17
By jettrink (Oregon)
These binoculars are as small as opera glasses and weigh about the same, but they have a solid, trustworthy density about them.

Their optics are crystal like and as for ease of use, I can easily find and focus on circling hawks with these little beauties.

Years ago I had a pair of Trinovid binoculars. These Nikons are so much easier to use and so much sharper, there's no comparison.

 "Versatile Binoculars" 2008-03-27
By N. Rogers (San Antonio, TX, USA)
I have used these binoculars in the Amazon jungle, the Galapagos Islands, at a political rally, and several Spurs games. I find them perfect for me because they are a compromise of size and magnification. I don't like to carry heavy binoculars and usually opt to leave them behind. These are light enough to be taken along and powerful enough to be beneficial in the diverse situations I listed above.
