Great protection for delicate item(s). I got it for a GPS unit which has a big, vulnerable display screen. Of course, you can't expect a custom fit on the interior - but I got the closest size to the GPS unit and then used some leftover bubblewrap to keep the unit from slipping about inside the case. I choose a bright yellow color to make it easy to find in darker areas of the car or to standout anywhere it's placed. It's apparent that while you cannot drive over the case and expect protection, you CAN expect the case to survive well should moderately heavy items get stacked on top, or from other less-than-extreme abuse. A cheap insurance policy with only one premium.

The Pelican series Dry-boxes are ideal for carrying anything you don't want to get wet. I used this particular box for Kayaking to take out my phone and point-and-shoot digital camera. The Panasonic Lumix LZ7 was a typical (not slim) pocket cam and my phones ranged in size. They always seemed to fit together in the box though with room to spare. The lanyard is *just* large enough to fit around the box so that you can loop it though and attach it to something (my kayak's webbing in my case).



Two cautions though. If any moisture, from your wet hands, or just on accident while the top is open, gets in the dry box and you then shut it and have it in the sun it will become like a greenhouse/rain forest in there. I recommend the opaque top models so that this isn't an issue. The other caution: If you're in salt water and it becomes submerged then rinse the hinges with fresh water when you get back home or else they will rust. Even with rust on the hinges it still works though.



Never ever ever had a drop of water enter the case while the top was latched shut. That's the point right? I'm buying a larger case since I've moved up to a better camera, I like the smaller boxes better by the way, but I'm going right back to Pelican. Keeps the water out, easy to use, long life, no wear...

I purchased these binoculars due to the zoom and Carson's great warranty. The binoculars were defective as I could not make it so I could see only one circle when looking through the eyepiece. I contacted Carson multiple times over a two week period to get a replacement pair. Each time customer service informed me the person in charge of warrantys was out. After leaving multiple messages I have never received a call back after several weeks. I ended up returning the binoculars to Amazon, which was great with the return process.

I have no opinion about how these mini binoculars compare to others in it's class. I was unaware of how small these really are. I could not get comfortable with the physical size of these binoculars and feel that unless you really know what you want these are a good candidate for local purchase so that you are comfortable with the size and features. I find Amazon a great source for many of my purchases, it just didn't work out this time.

I have been using Binocs all my life(past 60) and the 517 lives up to the best in performance . I grew up in a Sporting Goods Retailer family and had an opportunity to use a lot of different products over the years and -for the price -really at any price -these fall into the top ten of my favorites.Compact and easy to use,these fit in my coat pocket.They are very light weight and can be easily worn around your next with absolutely no discomfort. These are small enough that I get very little " shake" when these are in full zoom. For the money-the best buy in Binocs that I have found.

I purchased these with the intent of using for bird watching but they literally make me feel dizzy and green. No matter what I try, they just don't seem to provide a clear, distinct view. Seem abnormally darker than others I've used and never give a crisp clear view. On the other hand, they are by far more ergonomic than the old ones I owned, feel great, solid, nice set...but wish I'd kept my 30 year old set instead. Not good for bird watching. Can't begin to imagine for sports. Perhaps its my eyes? Unsure but they don't compare to 30 year old set.

I bought these binoculars to watch the birds in my backyard but failed to do sufficient pre-sale research. Their nearest focus point is probably 50ft and their magnification is generally higher than you would want. So they are ill suited for my intended use, but that is my fault, not Bushnells.



For viewing things further away they are fine. They seem rugged and very solid, though I haven't done much with them. I like the rubberized housing. The one general complaint I have is that the rocker focus mechanism has too much give in it. You can rock it for a few degrees before it actually starts doing any focusing.

These work fine out to 50 yards but I can't see holes at 100 yards. Is there a nob to zoom in that I'm missing? I love the small size but I'll probably end up buying something stronger to see out to 100 yards.





Edit: I used this again at the range with new safety glasses and I could see the holes at 100 yards, my old safety glasses must have done something to make it harder to see the holes.

Alpen 20x50 Waterproof Mini-Spotting Scope is a very good compact and very affordable monocular. The objective lens is big enough so it still usable under a low light condition such as in a cloudy day. It has fully coated optics with porro prism which is a plus for me. The 20x magnification may be troublesome for someone who does not have a steady hand. But it has tripod mount connector, so you can simply attached it to the tripod that comes with it or other tripod/monopod. I use it sometimes to see the sky on a clear night mounted on my full size tripod. The free tripod that comes with it is very weak, so I mostly use it for my PNS digital camera.

Unfortunately, these are not real Bushnell's or maybe they're second-hand or something because one lens wouldn't focus no matter what we tried,and we've use other Bushnell binoculars that have no problems! I found out after receipt of the product that the seller wasn't actually Bushnell, but some third party. I tried to contact them three times, but they never responded. I would not recommend this buyer or product to anyone.

Perfect! No focus to constantly fiddle with in a live theatre show. Fits nicely in most any purse (without the case) and one can enjoy actors' facial expressions and even the most smallest detail of their elaborate costumes and jewelry all the way from the upper balcony! I bought this extra set of Bushnell binoculars for our daughter when she'd accompany me to the theatre. Excellent value and fit the bill perfectly! I also enjoy watching wildlife in my backyard with them too. I even used them to jot down the license plate of a suspicious car in our neighborhood once. The only minor adjustment I made to them is I replaced the wide bulky strap with a long, slimmer, lanyard--never know when you'll have a standing ovation and it's good that you can comfortably put them around your neck.
