 "bushnell binoculars" 2010-08-16
By Christopher Mead (San Francisco, CA, USA)
These are excellent binoculars for the price. They are very compact, and the visibility is more than satisfactory. They are easy to adjust, and very easy to carry. Bear in mind these are an inexpensive pair of binoculars, so don't expect the same image you would get with a $400 pair of Steiners, but for under $30 they can't be beat. On a recent trip I found myself using these much more frequently than my more expensive and slightly larger Nikon. The only criticism I have is the carrying strap, which cannot be adjusted and is a bit on the skimpy side, but most of the time I carried them in the pocket of my cargo pants rather than by the strap.

"I'M NOT GONNA THROW 'EM OUT" 2010-04-18
By CAP1
I own 3 pairs of binos (Nikon Action 8x42, Nikon Travelite 9x25, Bushnell Powerview 8x21) in addition to my new pair of Bushnell Powerview 10x25. We're big Nascar fans in my house so extra binoculars come in handy at the track. My Nikons are on a higher level but so is the price. With that said, lets get to the Bushnells. My Powerview 8x21's have excellent crispness and image quality. They are well constructed, lightweight, and good looking. They don't leave much to be desired for as far as compacts are concerned and the price can't be beat. I wish I could say the same for my new Powerview 10x25. They too are lightweight, good looking, and economical. My main issue is the central focusing knob. It has too much flashback and isn't tight enough, hence, not allowing me to get a very crisp image. The only thing that saved my focus is the diopter which I can get somewhat clear. Optic aficionados may say that I'm asking for too much magnafication (10x) in too small a field of view (25). This may be true, but I doubt thats the only issue since my Nikon 9x25's (almost the same magnafiction) are impeccable. The pros may also say that the Powerviews have bak-7 prisims instead of high index bak-4's, therefore not allowing me the sharp image that i expect. This is definitely true but that still doesn't explain a few things. The image quality on my 8x21's are on a completely different level in comparison and they also have bak-7's. This could merely be a quality contol issue but coming from Bushnell, it's hard to understand. Will I buy Bushnell again? Yes, just not these. I should have bought another pair of 8x21. Will I throw them in the garbage? No, my 4 year old son gets them instead. If you can afford an extra $50, buy some Nikons. If not, go with the Powerview 8x21's. Now excuse me while I watch the race....."Gentlemen, start your engines!"

 "Great for the price" 2009-08-11
By Po Nien Lu (Duluth, MN USA)
I got this binocular for [...] with free shipping from [...]. At such a low price this binocular is really great. It is light weight and easy to carry. The image quality beats many of the "toy" binoculars you can find for the similar price.

However you really have to keep in mind that it IS a cheap compact binocular. Its lenses are small, which means the image will be relatively dark, which means it won't be very usable when not in a bright environment. The roof-prism design also limits it image quality (but still much better than the no prism Galilean binoculars). These are the compromise you have to make in change of small size and low price.

The focus ring is the only part I don't feel fully as expected about this binocular. It is small and tight, very hard to turn. When you or your target is moving it is very hard to keep your target in focus.

-1 star for it.

 "Quite poor" 2008-09-02
By David J. Aldridge (London, UK)
The focus adjusting knob has far too much backlash making focus a hit and miss operation. The image quality is also quite poor. The loop stitching on the carry case probably came undone because the binoculars fell off my backpack. To say I was less than heartbroken at losing them is an understatement. As one of the other reviewers stated "You get what you pay for". In my case I'd paid for junk.

 "NICE SIZE FOR LADIES" 2005-03-12
By Mrs. Ea Hodge (Midlands U.K)
These are just the right size for ladies, specially for distance viewing. My husband cant get on with them because with the small eyepieces he cant rest them against his brow to steady them - they float- and go out of focus. For us with smaller eyesockets they sit very nicely and the lenses are very clear. The clarity and detail being just as good as my bigger much more expensive pair. Very light and handy you can just keep them in your pocket .

 "Bushnell Handgun Scope" 2010-02-05
By Alex Perez
I ordered Bushnell Trophy Scope in (Silver) and they sent me a black one! Not happy i called them up and they agreed to exchange it,but later ended up keeping it as to not go though the hastle and waiting game. They seem to have a problem with part #s or something.it looks good with stainless steel anyways and it grew on me.Other than that the scope fits nice on my ruger redhawk with stock rings but you need to lower the adjustment on the rear iron sights all the way down so that it doesnt hit the scope.comes with sight caps and looks heavy duty, adjustments are smooth and done by hand.you can zoom in and out, very clear and color is a flat black, over all nice scope for the $$$ just send me the right one i order next time!

 "Good scope" 2009-11-30
By R. Diemer (Elizabeth, In.)
Ordered this scope but got a black matte instead of the silver one. Called OpticSale last week and today UPS brought the right one. Thanks OpticSale. Couldn't be happier with this scope and service. Just mounted it on my stainless 44 mag Redhawk and it looks great. Scope has very clear optics and eye relief is good even at higher power setting. Would definately buy this scope again.
