The first Muzzleloading scope to have a Bullet Drop Compensating (BDC) reticle, the Nikon Omega with BDC-250 lets you realize the full potential of your muzzleloader. Designed for .50 caliber muzzleloaders using a 150-grain Pyrodex charge (pellets or powder) and a 250-grain bullet, the unique Nikon BDC-250 allows the shooter to accurately and effectively shoot out to 250 yards, taking the guesswork out of where to hold on longer shots. Accuracy you would only expect form a centerfire rifle is now possible with a Muzzleloader. This BDC-250 is actually a trajectory-compensating reticle designed and calibrated to provide fast, simple aiming points for various shot distances. This unique system integrates a series of small "ballistic circles" --each subtending 2 inches @ 100 yards--allowing an unobstructed view of the target (at 200 yards, the circles are 4", at 250 yards, they are 5".

"Spend a few extra bucks and get a better scope" 2008-03-03
By Samuel O. Brooks, Jr. (Baton Rouge, LA United States)
This scope has good optics, but the focus and POI change as you vary the power.

 "Tasco World Class 3-9X" 2008-01-18
By James H. Cason (Tallahassee, FL)
This scope is a good value with features found in more expensive scopes. It is not the first World Class scope I have owned. I bought another for a good reason.

The item was packaged well and arrived on time.

 "Tasco scope" 2007-04-04
By L. Davidson (Australia)
These scopes are excellent field scopes, good quality for a reasonable price, you can take them out without worrying if its going to get scratched or damaged like you would if you spent $900 on something that does exactly the same thing. Be advised that this product does not include rings to avoid any disappointment

Delivery was super fast and hassle free which makes a pleasant surprise

Thoroughly recommended, good quality product.

 "Great" 2007-03-26
By J. P. Andrade (Orlando, Florida)
Great scope. It looks so elegant on my rifle. The quality is prety good for the price paid. The only thing is does not include rings. But i recomend this scope, is more than fine for 22 calibers. Shipping also was good and i got my item just i few days after i placed my order.

 "Clear as a bell!" 2007-11-11
By D. CAMPBELL (Mohegan Lake, New York USA)
Great scope, when zeroing in at 50 yards, had the last 3 holes touching.

Clearing the focus, using the back focal ring, is needed if you change powers more the two fold.

Solid mount, clear site picture, I'd give it a 9 out of 10 for the money.

GREAT SCOPE FOR THE $$$$$$$$ I MOUNTED IT ON SAVAGE 30-6 TOOK 10 SHOT AND I WAS RIGHT ON @ 100 YARD A+++++++++++

 "A new Tasco fan!" 2008-12-28
By Robert A. Ziccardi (Windsor, VT)
I have this scope on a Savage Weather Warrior (.308). Took it deer hunting in the Catskills when the heavens opened up. It down-poured all day. This scope did not fog up one bit. Then (of coarse) I slipped on wet leaf covered rock and down I went. The rifle took a good hit on a rock as did the scope. I test fired it when I got back to the lodge. Bullseye! Don't let the price fool you. This is a quality scope!

 "Great Scope!" 2008-09-15
By J. Fielder (S.E. Michigan)
Since I was looking for a scope for my hunting shotgun, I decided I wanted a high quality glass, that would last a lifetime. Since this scope is designed for a slug gun, it has a very long eye relief, and a very compact design. Great clarity and light transmission, and I love the lifetime warranty. If you follow the instructions for the BDC reticle very carefully, you can make very accurate shots out to 200 yards! Which is incredible for a shotgun slug!

"most scope for the money" 2010-02-17
By James Crumley
I purchased the buckmaster bdc 3-9x40 for a new remington model 700 sps 30-06 and just love it. The optics are crystal clear. This scope has the quality of a $300 to $400 scope. It took less than 1 box of shells to achieve 1" grouping at 100 yards. I would definitely reccommend the nikon.

 "Nikon Buckmaster 3.9X40 BDC" 2010-02-10
By James R. Paradiso (Anchorage, AK USA)
I mounted this 3-9X40 with the BDC on my Remington 7mm using Tully one piece base/ring mounts. Very nice optic and great price here on Amazon. After sighting in I wish I jumped up to a bit higher magnification for using it with a magnum rifle. The BDC is suppose to be sighted in at 200 for it to work the way it should. However with a 3-9 magnification it can be a bit tricky to get it spot on and then consistently placing your shots at 300+ with only a 3-9 can be a little tough. It's definitely a quality scope for the price though.

"Great Price - Bright Field of View" 2010-01-12
By M. Ross
I recently purchased this product for my new Weatherby Vanguard 30-06. I am a long-time open sight shooter - calibers 22 through 30-06. As an 'old man', I am a newbie when it comes to hunting with a scope. Needless to say, I did a lot of investigating. I eventually decided on a Nikon scope with a BDC reticle. The only decision left was whether to choose a 50mm or 40mm objective lens.

In my opinion, Optics Planet <[...]> has one of the best explanations regarding scope optics: scopes don't gather light - they transmit light. The more light transmitted, the brighter the scope.

At the time I purchased, Amazon directly sold the Nikon 3-9x50 ProStaff and the Nikon 3-9x40 Buckmaster for approximately the same price with light transmission at 90% and 92% respectively. I chose the Buckmaster and mounted this scope using Leopold QR medium rings and base. I bore-sighted my Vanguard with a BSA in my bedroom at night - no problems sighting to the BSA target within the room. What a bright scope! I am confident I have made the right decision. I am now ready for the range - and then some deer. :-)

 "Great Scope !!" 2010-01-07
By Jonathan Morris (Texas)
This scope is a great buy. The BDC works as advertised. I have had more expensive scopes that weren't as clear as the Buckmaster.

"Nikon Buckmaster BDC the GREAT scope!" 2008-06-30
By Christopher J. Smith (Lynchburg VA)
The new BDC or bullet drop compensator makes this riflescope the BEST value in the 200 dollar range for a 3x9 40mm type scope. Other scopes such as the Bushnell have the same or better optics in this price range but the BDC makes this scope the best choice for a one shot kill! No more missed shots due to lack of bullet drop compensation. The drop calculation is already there on the optical picture so you just select the detent for the range you are shooting and then GO. I'm zeroing in my 30-06 remington 770 (new improved version) in at 200 yards on crosshairs with a 150 grain bullet load at about 3000 fps punch and that ought to give me a really good long range rifle!h This after boresighting with a laser kit.
