Works great on my Colt 6450 9mm carbine. All the tolerances (barrel nut, stock, etc.) lined up perfect on the gun. Much cheaper price than a lot of other similar tools. Make sure you order the short tool if you have a newer AR-15 with the collapsible stock.

 "Incredible for the Price" 2009-12-29
By Robert B. Washburn (Edwardsville, IL United States)
I have always had binoculars. But I can safely say that I have never had a pair this sharp at anywhere near the price. They snap into focus and the image is sharp as a tack. The ergonomics are very good they fit my hands and the control is right where you expect it to be. The controls are silky smooth making focus and diopter adjustment quite precise.

The rear lens caps slip onto the neck strap where they are reasonably secure. Unfortunately Nikon couldn't come up with as good an answer for the front lens caps. They have small loop with an opening so you can clip them onto the neck strap. Not very secure. More likely they will go in my pocket. Good luck finding a replacement, Google couldn't.

The nicely padded soft case does not come with a strap. It hangs from the binocular strap when they are in the case. I still haven't come up with a good solution on what to do with it in the field. However the strap on the binoculars is nice and wide 1 1/4"

Nikon 7266 Action 10 X 40 mm Binoculars

I've always been a Nikon camera fan, and these are outstanding binoculars, with the same look, feel and optics you find in their highest quality cameras.

If you spend a few moments learning about how to buy binculars, you'll be able to choose, as I did, a product that is well built and designed for what you are doing (hummingbird watching here). Learn what Magnification Power, Objective Lens Diameter and Exit Pupil mean.

The case is clean in design, very nice and functional.

This is a simple but useful site I found on how to pick binoculars. Many thanks to the author for posting this.

Good luck and enjoy.

"Received olive green body/ green close range LEDs." 2009-12-26
By Steven Hagen (Buffalo, NY)
I purchaced this product as a gift, and was impressed with it's overall build quality. The product I recieved is actually OLIVE GREEN and has 6 GREEN LED's for close range use. I was expecting the product to have a black shell with 3 3W LEDs and 6 WHITE low power LEDs. I suspect that the product I received is an "altrenate" model of the same spotlight. If you are using the red filter with this particular model, it is obviously useless with the green close range LEDs... a silly design choice in my opinion. I am unsure weather this was a mistake on Amazons end or if this is in fact the only model of the light. Due to the lack of reviews with similar observations, I assume the former.

Despite this mixup (I am not factoring this into my rating), this is an overall solid product and I would definately recommend it to someone looking for a long burning medium power spotlight.

 "Very nice little spotlight" 2009-12-15
By Kenneth C. Monsey (Pennsylvania)
My wife loves this little spotlight. It is very bright, lightweight, and easy to use - with a 'lock-on' feature when she wants it. She uses it when letting our dog out at night (in a rural area) to be sure that no strange animals are nearby. We have a tree line that is over 75 yards from our rear deck, and this light will easily show up any animal at that distance. I recharge it for her about once a month, just because I think I should, but the light has never really dimmed under her usage.

I live on a farm and use a spotlight every night. This spotlight has been amazing. I used to have to recharge my last spotlight every night because it often died on me. My Cyclops is about half the size and I have been using it for over a month on the original charge!!! I really can't believe it. I would like to find a Cyclops with a little more power or throw for the really long distances, but this one has been awesome! Well worth the price!

This light is great for spotting critter from 150 to 200 yards out.

I love the camera. I cant wait to put it out in the woods when spring comes.. I have been using it indoors and it works great. I have even caught my cat on the table at night where she shouldnt be... We had the flash off so it was pretty dark but I was able to pick out the cat on the kitchen table.. Now I need a scat mat to keep the cat off the table at night.. I like that you can have the flash on or off.. Off you would never know it was taking pictures.. I like that you can adjust the time in between it taking pictures. Well worth the money..

 "Outstanding Product" 2010-01-15
By M. Jordan (GA. & AL.)
I've owned several of the higher priced trail camaras & haven't found one yet that's as good as the Moultrie D-40. I currently own 2 D-40's & have had them for over 2 years with no problems. I keep my camaras in the woods 5 months a year, moving them every 2-3 weeks to scout new locations & deer movement. The higher priced camaras use batteries twice as fast as the D-40 & some have even just quit altogether. I'll be buying more D-40's very soon & recomend if your going to by a trail camera, you do the same.

"3 cameras, 2 dead within a year and customer service is a nightmare" 2010-01-07
By SharKe (Opelika, AL)
Initially I was pleased with the Moultrie Game Spy D-40, with the exception of the cheap bungee cords that are completely inadequate for the hefty weight of the camera. Do yourself a favor and just throw them away. I opted to use a single drop-tine game camera mount (pushes into the ground) that easily allows you to make adjustments to the camera's position (height off the ground, tilt up or down, swivel left or right, etc.). But I digress...

About two months after buying my Game Spy D-40, I decided to purchase a Moultrie Game Spy I-40, and that is when I learned about Moultrie's terrible customer service. The user's manual referred me to their website for software updates that might be needed to operate the camera (some apparently had glitches). I expected to find the software update easily; instead I spent an hour searching through every link on their website and still came up empty-handed. I filled out their website's customer service form asking where I could find the software update. I never received a response. I also tried calling their customer service line only to repeatedly hear a recording telling me that due to a high volume of calls, callers should expect a long wait time. The message strongly urged the use of their website to avoid the wait. [Good luck with that.] Frustrated, I returned the I-40 to Amazon.

Because I was still pleased with my original Game Spy D-40, I decided to purchase two more from Amazon...a decision I have come to regret. A few months after purchased the first camera stopped taking photos at night. The second camera started acting up shortly thereafter, and completely stopped working after 8 months. OUT OF 3 CAMERAS, ONLY 1 IS STILL OPERATING AND THIS IS WITHIN A YEAR OF PURCHASE. I should also point out that none of these cameras were mishandled or even subject to the expected "wear and tear" most game cameras receive as the cameras were used to record wildlife in my own 1.5 A yard.

So now I'm trying to navigate Moultrie's customer service nightmare again in the hopes of getting the two non-functioning cameras repaired or replaced under the 1-year manufacturer's warranty. Note to buyers: GO TO MOULTRIE'S WEBSITE AND READ THEIR WARRANTY POLICY BEFORE BUYING!!!!! Moultrie requires you to call customer service (yes, the same line that tells you that you will be better served by their website) and describe the problem to their technicians before you can get instructions on how to proceed with any claim. The recording is nice enough to give you an estimated wait time. My latest attempt...84 minutes. Obviously I need to plan ahead and set aside a couple of hours of my time to complete this process. I'm not sure it is even worth it given that their website lists a bunch of warranty disclaimers and eligibility requirements that leads me to believe I am going to receive the same level of satisfaction with their warranty service as I have with their customer service......that is, NONE.

One thing seems clear.....Moultrie has no interest in repeat business. Rest assured, they will not be getting mine. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

"Good product for the price" 2009-12-16
By Blaine T. Jones (Dahlonega, GA USA)
It's hard to beat this game camera for the price. But image quality leaves much to be desired, even in full daylight. But, it does what it does. I had suspected a bear was coming around and bringing down our bird feeder. Thanks to this camera I was able to confirm that - it had snapped a couple of bear pics. Since it time-stamps the pictures I noticed that the bear was right by my wife's car a mere 6 minutes before she left for work! It would be nice to have higher quality pics but for this price I suppose they're good enough.

 "Light weight Basic Monocular" 2009-07-20
By Maaz Gazdar (England)
I used the Brunton Monocular on a recent trip with my nieces and nephews. It is simple to use, and they enjoyed the clear view from it.

This is not a serious monocular in any sense, but it's good for days out when you just want to see something a bit more clearly without having to walk all the way there.

Its lightweight and compact size means you can keep it anywhere without really feeling it.

By C. Cox
For the price, this was such a good deal. It's only a 7x, but it really brings things into focus that otherwise could barely be seen. We live on a ranch and it has saved me a lot of miles in checking on animals. So much easier to carry than the 7x binoculars (which never got carried), it's about the same size as a 2oz hand samitizer bottle, and comes with a nice little pouch. My husband perfers a higher magnification, but I tend to have a little hand shake so this is just right.

Perfect in that it is absolutely small, good clarity, very light, seems durable enough and super cheap for pretty freakin decent quality!

I got this to toss into my messenger bag and I had at the same time purchased a slightly larger, supposedly better (and more pricey) second monocular (i wanted to slide one into a slim pocket in the messenger bag) and found this cheaper and smaller monocular to be extraordinarily the better of the two.

You will totally be stunned when you realize you got it for so cheap.

"It does it's job, especially for the price." 2009-06-12
By Ford Rivers (Forest City, Montana, USA)
This review is for the Brunton Echo 7x18 monocular.

I'm the inventory manager in a large manufacturing company, and we have hundreds of materials organized in racks up to 15 feet in height.

Every pallet and box has a label with part numbers and specifications.

I used to have to climb on a ladder to read labels and verify materials, or bring the pallet down to look at it. I tried several monoculars but none focused close enough for me to read the fine print on a label that's just 6 feet above my head.

This scope allows me to read small print on something 20 feet away, so it saves me many minutes of climbing and forklift driving. It is now one of my many tools of my job.

I recommend this scope for anyone who needs this type of capability.

 "Three way *extreme* comparison" 2009-12-28
By Dire Wolf (Seattle, WA)
I practice karate & I wear glasses. This is not a happy combination - I spend too much time picking my glasses up off the mat. So I went out & bought a pair of sports goggles, they stay on but fog up something fierce. (My *opponents* like sparring with a blind man, though... ;-) For those who don't practice the Ancient Asian Art of kicking-below-the-belt: it is the *ultimate* workout. You sweat an unbelievable amount, making this a true stress test for anti-fog goop. I tried an old spray-on I use for my motorcycle face shield - but that did next-to-nothing to help.

I hit good ol' Amazondotcom & found the three highest-rated anti-fog products & tried them out on successive weeks.

NUMBER THREE is the artfully-named "Cat Crap" Ek Cat Crap Glass and Lens Cleaner It's a waxy substance, you smear it on & by the directions buff it until clear. But I don't know how to tell the difference between "buffing until clear" and "wiping it off." It did do better at mitigating the fogging problem than the old spray-on I had laying around. But it still didn't keep the lenses clear, either. Three Stars.

NUMBER TWO is Sea Drops Sea Drops Anti-Fog & Lens Cleaner This is a viscous fluid, you smear it on & let it dry, then buff. I buffed it just barely enough for the spots to disappear & tried it out. It worked "pretty good." My lenses didn't fog up, stayed mostly clear but by the end of class there was still a little spotting. Much better than the old spray-on, but still not quite as good as number one. Four Stars.

For my money, NUMBER ONE is Fog Tech. FogTech Anti-fog 30ml Solution It's a clear solution, you wipe it on & let dry. That's it, no guessing how much buffing you need. My goggles stayed clear & dry throughout the class. It may be the priciest solution, but it works. Five Stars.

Now I can see the foot coming at my nose.

Much better.

 "Great product!" 2009-10-15
By Karla Gascoigne (San Diego, CA)
This is a GREAT product. I ordered the 8 oz. instructor size and got it within 2 days. Great service - one problem. They sent the wrong product. I called right away and was helped very nicely by Lil who verified she had the correct product in hand and sent it right out with a return label for me to send the wrong item back. My only complaint was that I had to charge the 2nd (correct) item before she would send it even though I had already paid for the product. So I paid twice - got the correct product very quickly with the UPS retun label as promised and got an email yesterday that I have been credited for the first charge. In the end - great customer service and great product.

"The absolute best to keep the mask from fogging up when diving!" 2008-09-12
By Timothy M. Goulah (Okinawa, japan)
I have been diving for over 6 years now and i've been using Sea Drops from the start. Many people will tell you spit, or baby shampoo is just as good and cheaper, but you get what you pay for. While the others "MAY" work, Sea Drops do work all the time. i use 3 drops per lens and apply it when prepping the equipment for a dive. When you get to the water rinse the lenses and the mask will stay clear the whole dive. I would recommend the drops over the gel as the drops will last you longer and the gel is generally more expensive. I love this product and highly recommend it.
