The price is most reasonable too. I have a friend who spent over $1000 on her Zeiss (sp?) binoculars, and when she's let me borrow hers, I haven't noticed a significant difference. This eye interval adjustment mechanism of this brand new Olympus Tracker PCI 8x25 binocular broke after two days of usage during our recent trip in OCT 09. I sent this back for repair in late OCT 09 and I still have not received back a repaired unit or a replacement. I called twice in DEC 09 and Olympus told me that they could not send me a replacement because they do not have any replacement units in stock. How can Olympus runs a warranty service without stocking parts and replacement units? They also told me they are unsure when they can send me a replacement unit.

I had these for several years and they are very nice for travel. Very clear images in good light and hardly noticable around the neck or in a coat pocket. Used them more than bigger and better (8x42 or IS) binocs. But alas I dropped them from waist height and the hinge broke. So now it's a tough decision just to replace or pick up something with a hardier construction. Will try heartier this time.

I purchased these binoculars based on the posted reviews. Upon receiving and trying them out, the first impression is:



Pros:

compact, lightweight, pouch with belt loop, good short range ability



Cons:

Cheap look and feel, eye cup covers come off easily and will get lost sooner or later, neck strap is flimsy and on the short side, eye interval is rather narrow and if your eyes are wide apart like mine, you can't increase the inverval enough to accommodate both eyes at the same time

Binoculars are excellent for beginners to amateur astronomy - they cost less than telescopes and they give you a great deal of freedom to scan the sky. I bought these for this reason and I've been very happy with them. The magnification is low enough that holding them in your hands doesn't produce too much jitter, but it's high enough to bring out celestial objects you wouldn't see unaided. I've seen galaxies, double stars, and Jupiter's moons with these.



The only downside is that the bodies of the lenses are very bulky and close together, so screwing in a tripod adapter is awkward and takes a few tries before it's in all the way.

I got these for my daughter to moon gaze and watch shuttle launches. I was very impressed with the brightness and clarity of images I saw when using these binoculars. They were very easy to mount on a tripod for a more stable image. Also, this was the lowest priced pair of 20x80's that I found. These are a lot easier to set up and use than our telescope and so far have been getting a lot of use.

These are great binoculars for the money they have a good tripod mount and work well for Astronomy.The carrying case that comes with it is a little weak on quality,and I would suggest a good hard case with customizing foam inside to transport them. Otherwise they are fine for most people. I bought them for $99. from Amazon. I would recommend them based on the unit I received.

I have taken thousands of pics out the window of car, bus, van, etc. I finally decided to automate it somewhat. I plan to use this device for a lightweight Sony H2 camera in Europe. I suspect that it will travel well. It is lightweight and appears to have a good attachment. The tripod is lightweight as well, but I suspect that it will be adequate for a lightweight camera. I have not had a chance to put it to the test yet, but hope that it will perform as anticipated.

I needed a window mount for nature photos. The window function is great but the super strong and extra stable mini tripod gets used just as much. The tripod and window mount separate so you can use either or both at the same time. I've already used both mounts on my cameras, binoculars and telescopes. Both these mounts fold up to a very small package; a package that's so rugged you don't even need a carry case. Just pitch it in the glove box or backpack, it will survive rough handling. A great design, a great price and it has the famous Bushnell quality.

I like the multi-functionality of this tripod, being both a mini-tripod, and a window mount. I let my friends borrow it on their trip, and they both remarked how nice it was to be able to take pictures of themselves together, to make it look like they had friends taking the picture!



It's pretty good quality, and worth the money. Great for traveling since it's compact, lightweight, and can be transported in two pieces. The base legs stick a little though.

Binoculars are fair. Made in China stuff. Case is junk - thin plastic. I worry it will not hold up and may break, dropping and damaging the binoculars. If you look through the binoculars just right they are very good but there is a dark spot that can mar the image. Not the quality I had hoped for $90.

Purchased these binoculars after using my sister's Eagle Optics binoculars while birding at a migratory hotspot. Her binoculars were such an improvement over mine that I went online and found the Cornell University site that reviews and rates binoculars. The Bushnell binoculars were highly rated at by the Cornell reviewers so I purchased them. I wear glasses and the eye pieces adjust easily to accomodate my glasses. I use them primarily for birding and have found the optics sharp and the binoculars easy to focus. These binoculars weigh less than some of the other ones I looked at and that is important to me since I have neck and shoulder pain sometimes. I am very happy with my Bushnell binoculars.

This binocular has a nice tight feel. It is easy to focus, light in weight, and is very easy to adjust. The field of view is actually 441 feet at 1000 yards, not the advertised 330 yards. This was an error in the specifications as listed on the Amazon web site. Bushnell indicates that this model ( 13-2000 ) has a 441 feet @ 1000 yard field of view.
The unit I initially received had a minor flaw on the interior coating of one of the objective lenses. Apparently there is some room for improvement with Bushnell's quality control program.
I am waiting for a replacement of this same model, so I would say that overall I am pleased with the unit.

High quality product. I can't imagine any part of this product breaking during normal use. Only reason it does not get a higher rating is this does not have adjustment should you want to rotate a camera to portrait or if the car is not level (you could just skew the clamp in that case).
